ORIENTAÇÕES PARA A REALIZAÇÃO DO SEMINÁRIO FÍLMICO (Valor Total: 5,0)

Este trabalho consiste na preparação/apresentação de um seminário sobre aspectos lingüísticos e histórico-culturais, observados em filmes específicos, os quais se relacionam à formação e às implicações da Língua Inglesa, nos países anglófonos e no mundo.

ROTEIRO DE TRABALHO- ENSINO MÉDIO- Língua Inglesa

Atividade:

 Vocês desenvolverão, neste terceiro bimestre,  uma atividade de pesquisa, coletiva, manuscrita, ou digitada impressa, em folhas de papel A4, brancas ou coloridas, folhas sem pauta ou em papel criativo. Não será aceito, em hipótese alguma, trabalho realizado em folha de caderno ou de fichário. Após o termino da pesquisa, esta deverá ser passada para o Cd ou Pen Drive- no programa Power Point para a apresentação.

 1.  What do the students already know about it?

Before you start the lesson ask your students what they already know about the subject on the worksheet.  Use who, what, when, why and how questions as prompts if you need to.  Brainstorm information on the board. Allow lots of time for a conversation to develop and flow and encourage your students to share personal stories that relate.

 2. Make a list of related words.  

How many words can we think of that relate to the subject on the worksheet?  For example a list for the subject of dogs may look like this: teeth, collar, food, water, bowl, lead, puppies, fleas, medicine, treats, bones, nails, spots, skin, wrinkles, whiskers, buckle, eyes, eyelashes, pupil,  nostrils, ears, poodle, competition, tail, patches, biscuits, treats, toys, bed, basket, blanket, chain and flea powder.  

Give your students lots of time to come up with ideas and they will create an ever going list. You could even challenge the class to create a list of 100 words.  If it is not completed by the end of the day then part of homework can be finding more words by talking to family, reading books and looking on the internet. Alternatively see if the list can be completed by the end of the week.

Telling The Time

The time usually has an hour hand (the short hand), a minute hand (the long hand). The hour hand is very easy as long as you know numbers, it's basically between one and twelve. The minute hand is usually the hardest for people to learn.

There are two ways we can express the minute hand. The first way is to say the hour time first and then express the minute hand.

Ways to use Gerund

When a verb ends in -ing, it may be a present participle or it may be a gerund. It is important to understand that they are not the same.

When we use a verb in -ing form more like a verb or an adjective, it is usually a present participle:

• Anthony is fishing.
• I have a boring teacher.

When we use a verb in -ing form more like a noun, it is usually a gerund:

• Fishing is fun.
