WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE CORONAVIRUS?
IN GENERAL, WHAT ARE SOME HEALTH AND HYGIENE
PRACTICES YOU SHOULD USE IN ORDER TO HELP PREVENT THE SPREAD OF GERMS?

Early information
out of China, where COVID-19 first started, shows that some people are at
higher risk of getting very sick from this illness. This includes:
·        
Older adults
·        
People who have serious chronic medical conditions
like:
o    Heart disease
o    Diabetes
o    Lung disease

The following
SYMPTOMS may appear
 2-14 DAYS AFTER EXPOSURE.*
·        
Fever
·        
Cough
·        
Shortness of breath

 

TAKE STEPS TO
PROTECT YOURSELF

CLEAN YOUR HANDS OFTEN

·        
Wash your
hands
 often with soap and water
for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or
after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
·        
If soap and water are not
readily available, use
a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol
. Cover
all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
·        
Avoid touching your
eyes, nose, and mouth
 with unwashed hands.

WHAT
ARE THE SYMPTOMS AND COMPLICATIONS OF COVID-19?


Current symptoms reported for patients with COVID-19 have
included mild to severe respiratory illness with fever cough, and

THERE A VACCINE?


There is currently no vaccine to protect against COVID-19. The best
way to prevent infection is to avoid being exposed to the virus that causes
COVID-19.

THERE A TREATMENT?




There is no specific antiviral treatment for COVID-19. People
with COVID-19 can seek medical care to help relieve symptoms.

Para proteger a saúde e evitar a
transmissão o melhor a fazer é ter uma boa higienização das mãos com água e
sabão ou higienizador à base de álcool. Cobrir a boca e o nariz com a parte
interna do cotovelo ou lenço quando tossir e espirrar (em seguida descartar o
lenço). 
Evitar tocar nos olhos, nariz e boca. Manter, pelo menos, um metro de
distância de pessoas tossindo ou espirrando. Evitar aglomerações e ficar em
casa. Manter isolamento domiciliar prevenindo assim, o contágio da doença.
