Que sejamos felizes. - - Feliz Ano Novo.

Feliz Ano Novo.

Dá-me um ano feliz e ensina-me a repartir felicidade.
Amén!

New Year´s resolutions

New Year, new teacher! Do things in a different way
Louise Potter

We all make New Year´s resolutions for the coming year. These resolutions are generally related to our personal life, such as eat less chocolate, go to the gym at least twice a week and maybe quit a certain addiction we have.

Let´s try to focus on our professional life and make resolutions towards being a different teacher.

You can ask me – what does it mean to be a different teacher?
I will go through some points that I am sure will make you rethink your practice.

1. Give your students a saying towards what they are going to do in the classroom. That does not mean you have lost control over your content. It means your students can choose how they would like to discuss the topic. Let them research a little before you come up with all the answers for them. Study a little about Project Based Learning or take our online course – Beyond the Course Book – in which we go through the main points related to Project Based Learning.

Write down the year at the center of a piece of paper, then draw spokes with different themes that are important to you.

From each of those themes, draw additional spokes to connect the themes to ways you want to improve or experiment in that area.

Easy Understand English

A loud voice not only helps people to hear the words you’re saying, it also sends a message of confidence.

Sometimes when you learn a new language, you worry about making mistakes, so your voice is not confident. Don’t worry so much; it’s expected to make mistakes! Speak up! Your conversation partners will be able to hear you better, which is a requirement for understanding.

33 ways to speak better English – without taking classes

When we communicate effectively we are able to express our ideas and opinions, share experiences, and build relationships with others. When we struggle to express ourselves, we feel unvalued and insecure. As human beings, we want to participate in group discussions and have an impact on the society around us.
In the modern world, we communicate across borders. English is the closest thing we have to an international language.
By speaking better English, people all over the world can hear our voice. But, to speak better English, you need a teacher, don’t you? You need to take English classes, right?
Well, English teachers and English classes definitely help. But, studying English for a few hours a week may not improve your spoken English very much.
What you need is to become a self-directed learner, somebody who takes responsibility for their own learning and creates their own learning programme to develop their English.

Past Participle - bem resumidinho!

1) I have been too busy lately. (Tenho andado muito ocupada ultimamente.)

2) He has made excellent progress at this job. (Ele progrediu bastante no trabalho.)/(Ele tem progredido...)

"Ten Commandments" for Good Language Learning - Dez Mandamentos para o bom aprendizado de idiomas.

"Ten Commandments" for Good Language Learning

1 - Fear not! Don't be inhibited!(Não tema!

2 - Dive in! Take risks!

3 - Believe in yourself!

Time - Relógios, Horas e Minutos.

02 pratos de papel (descartável);
02 pedaços de papel cartão para fazer os ponteiros (duas cores ou da mesma cor);
01 colchete;
