Action Race: This is a fun game using actions. Use actions like jump, hop, clap, run etc. Have the Ss split into two teams and sit in lines with a chair by each team and one chair at the other end of the room. One S from each team stands next to their chair and T calls an action, e.g. "Jump". Ss must jump to the chair on the other side of the room and back, sitting down in their chair Ss say "I can jump". First one to do it gets their team a point. (Submitted by Gareth Thomas).

Number Flashcards
Number - 1 to 10 in a different color each. Have the children identify the number and the color.
Teacher: What number is this?
Students: Two!
Teacher: What color is number two?
Students: Orange!
Then say a color and students say the number.
Teacher: purple!
Students: five!
Do it all the way around.
Teacher: nine!
Students: Black!
I included black and white flashcards just in case you want to use only black ink or you can color each number in 10 different colors and have a wider variety to play Bingo ! . And I included a number only flashcard for more activities, such as writing the number or drawing objects.

If you’re studying with a classroom or private instructor, then you can use these as supplements to your course material.
Since they’re all focused on attacking language topics from different angles and with different activities, they can provide fresh perspectives on the lessons you’ve been learning.
Or at least a little extra practice.
If you’re learning on your own (perhaps through media-based immersion), apps can provide you with the “glue” that helps your random knowledge stick together.
They can get you started, help you develop a study routine, assess your progress, keep you motivated and keep studying stress-free.
Many of these apps are gamified—meaning that they’ve transformed language topics into games.
They’re tons of fun in and of themselves.
You’ll get so caught up in the thrill of competition that you’ll forget you’re learning!

Using Flashcards With Young Learners
When introducing vocabulary to young learners, it’s great to use real items that capture children’s attention. However, it’s not always possible or realistic for teachers to use real items in the classroom. Flashcards can be a great way to introduce new vocabulary so that learners have a very clear understanding of the word or concept.
When using flashcards or picture cards to introduce vocabulary in the classroom, try to create some suspense or mystery about the cards. Students are more receptive to learning when they are curious. Rather than just flipping through the cards and having students repeat the words, incorporate the cards into activities. This will help students be more invested and more likely to remember the words.

ESL Flashcards for teaching vocabulary.
These cards are ideal for teaching vocabulary.
How to use these cards:
First print two copies of each set of cards and then paste them on a cardboard backing so that students can't see through them. Cut out the individual cards and then you are ready to play various games. Laminating is also a good idea if you have the resources.
