#How to #teach #conversational #lessons

Be Prepared: even for a purely conversational class, at minimum bring a pen and paper (to write down mistakes) and some conversation topics. While sometimes a conversation will flow organically from ‘What’s new?’ into something interesting, it’s good to have a list of about four or five interesting questions for when there is a lull in the conversation. Having a dictionary can also be helpful.

Don’t Talk Too Much: although some students are happy listening to their teacher’s wonderful English, they can do this at home with a DVD. In class, keep your talk time down and aim to have the student(s) do 70% of the speaking. Ask open-ended questions instead of Yes/No questions. Use a “Tell me more” approach. In group settings, have students talk together, while you play the role of a moderator. Guide the conversation without becoming the focus of it.

Ideas for using music in English teaching

English songs can be used for a wide variety of ESL learning and teaching activities. They can start discussions on a topic or even become the centre of debate. This is especially true of songs that develop a particular theme. Songs are also great for teaching listening. 

One of my favorite exercises with music is completing the blanks as students listen or listening and choosing the correct words from two words than rhyme, for example cry and try. 

You can teach grammar with songs in many ways.

Christmas Vocabulary - English lesson on Christmas.

This lesson is about Christmas. It includes Christmas vocabulary and some fact and customs followed by people during Christmas.

Christmas is celebrated on December 25th. It is the birth anniversary of Lord Jesus. And December 24th is the Christmas Eve. 
Most of the streets are decorated with lights and also the malls or public places have huge Christmas trees and the shopping hours are made longer too.

        a) Como instalar?

              Fácil... Abra o Mozila firefox, se você não tem esse navegador acesse este link                   que instale.

        b) Dentro do mozilla firefox clique em "addons" ou "complementos" (em português).

Clicar em complementos ou AddOns

        c) Dentro da guia de extensões faça uma busca pelo complemento "Download Helper".

 

       d) Depois de instalar o plugin o navegador vai pedir pra você reinicia-lo... Faça isso.

       e) Então amigos daqui pra frente é só alegria, vou mostrar agora como se faz para fazer o download de um vídeo. Primeiramente Abra o Youtube em um vídeo que você gostaria de fazer download:

        f) Então você escolhe a opção de download na lista:

E está pronto, só escolher o local onde você deseja salvar e o download será feito.
